device configuration file and the DRM recovery plan file are referred to as the
ADSM recovery files. If the file that encountered the error is one of the ADSM
recovery files, the problem can be corrected with one of two methods. First, the
length of the statements being written to these files can be controlled by the values
in certain ADSM definitions. Second, the LRECLRECOVERYFILE option can be
changed in the server options file. The SET LRECLRECOVERYFILE command can
be used to change it for the currently running server. If the SET
LRECLRECOVERYFILE command is used, the server does not have to be halted.
Once the server is halted and restarted, the value in the options file will be used. To
make the change permanent, the options file should be updated. Prior to making a
change to the LRECLRECOVERYFILE option, please consider that a value greater
than 240 results in a file that cannot be edited on the AS/400. If the file that
encountered the error is NOT one of the ADSM recovery files, correct the problem
and restart the process.
