User Response: If the library has an access door, make sure it is in the closed
position. If it has a cartridge carousel, make sure the carousel is installed. The
server automatically detects when the appropriate action has been taken. It then
continues its operations.
ANR8447E No drives are currently available in library library name.
Explanation: The attempted operation cannot be completed on the specified
library because there are no available drives. A drive may be unavailable because an
application other than the server may have the driver opened. This message may
also be issued if a CHECKIN or LABEL command is issued and no drive is
available to service the operation. This can be because all the drives are mounted by
other processes or sessions, or the device type was incorrectly specified.
System Action: The attempted operation is terminated.
User Response: Use the QUERY DRIVE command to check the online status of
the drives. Drives that are marked Unavailable since hh:mm yy/mm/dd are drives
taken offline by the server at the time specified because of hardware failures or the
inability to open the drive. If the attempted operation is a CHECKIN or LABEL
command, use the QUERY MOUNT command to determine if all the drives in the
library are mounted and wait until one of these is available. If there are mounted
volumes with an IDLE status, use the DISMOUNT VOLUME command to free its
drive, and retry the original operation.

No drives are currently available in library library name.
Explanation: No drives are available to carry out an attempted operation for the
specified library. The drives can be unavailable for the following reasons. One or
more drives in the library may already be in use by the server. One or more drives
in the library may be in use by other jobs or other systems. The AS/400 status of
one or more drives may render them unavailable to the server. Additional messages
may have been issued by the server.
System Action: The attempted operation is ended.
User Response: If the attempted operation is IMPORT/EXPORT or
DUMP/LOAD, wait until a drive is available in the library, and then try the
operation again. If there are idle volumes mounted in the library, use the
DISMOUNT VOLUME command to free a drive, and then try the original
operation again. If any of the drives in the library are shared, wait until the other
system makes a drive available, and then try the original operation again. If the
attempted operation is a normal data storage operation, make sure that the number
of drives defined in the library is greater than or equal to the MOUNTLIMIT value
of the device class that references the library. This can be accomplished by either
defining more drives in the library or by reducing the MOUNTLIMIT value of the
