52. Each MAS can have only one directory server. The directory
server must be an Active Directory Domain controller configured
as a global catalog.
53. An Exchange 2000 domain can contain more than one voice mail
domain.
54. A voice mail domain can contain subscribers in different
Exchange 2000 domains, provided subscribers are in the same
forest.

5.5 messaging
environments
55. Each MAS can have only one directory server. The directory
server can be any Exchange 5.5 server.
56. An Exchange 5.5 site can contain more than one voice mail
domain.
57. A voice mail domain cannot contain subscribers or MAS units in
different Exchange 5.5 sites.
Note: New installations of Modular Messaging do not support
Microsoft Exchange 5.5 server.

58. An MAS must be on the same LAN segment as the IBM Lotus
Domino server.
Domino domain
59. Each MAS must have one directory server or cluster per Domino
domain in which voice mail-enabled subscribers exist.
60. A Domino domain may contain more than one voice mail
domain.
61. A voice mail domain may contain subscribers in more than one
Domino domain.
Peer server
62. When customers create a voice mail domain, the peer directory
server for the first MAS in the voice mail domain becomes the
primary server in the voice mail domain.
