before subscribers answer their calls. Subscribers can then decide whether
to take the call. Call screening screens only those calls that come through
the Automated Attendant, and is not applicable to direct inward dialing
(DID) calls.
If subscribers have chosen to screen calls but are not available to answer
screened calls, callers have the choice of leaving a message, being
diverted to a different extension, or transferring to the operator.
Subscribers can use the Subscriber Options application to enable call
screening.
Note: Screening calls from the Automated Attendant has no relation
to the Find Me call screening capability.
Configuring call
screening
Administrators can use the Call Screening class-of-service (COS)
parameter on the MSS, to determine which subscribers are enabled for
call screening.
Subscribers can enable or disable call screening from the Modular
Messaging Aria TUI and from Subscriber Options.
Note: For Call screening from the Automated Attendant to be
available, the Automated Attendant must be enabled at the
system level. Administrators can use the VMSC tool on the
MAS to enable the Automated Attendant. For more
information, see Avaya Modular Messaging Release 2
Messaging Application Server Administration Guide for

When subscribers offer their callers the option of Caller-initiated Notify
Me, it means that callers can trigger a notification during the same session
as their Call Answer session, and they need not go through a second step
