General rules for voice mail domains
Some general rules that apply to voice mail domains of all versions of
Modular Messaging are:
Messaging application server (MAS)
1. Each messaging application server (MAS) can belong to only one
voice mail domain.
2. A voice mail domain can contain multiple MAS units.
Subscriber
3. Each voice mail subscriber can belong to only one voice mail
domain.
Tracing Server
4. In a voice mail domain, there can be only one Tracing Server.
5. A Tracing Server can provide services to only one voice mail
domain.
Message waiting indicator Server
6. In a voice mail domain, there can be only one message waiting
indicator (MWI) Server.
7. An MWI Server can interface to only one switch.
8. An MWI Server can provide services to only one voice mail
domain.
9. An MWI Server uses the Mailbox Monitor Server from the same
voice mail domain.
Call Me Server
10. In a voice mail domain, there can be only one Call Me Server.
11. A Call Me Server can provide services to only one voice mail
domain.
12. A Call Me Server uses the Mailbox Monitor Server from the
same voice mail domain.
Mailbox Monitor Server
13. In a voice mail domain, there can be only one Mailbox Monitor
Server.
