Rules for MSS messaging environments
MSS
30. An Avaya Message Storage Server (MSS) can be a host to only
one voice mail domain.
31. A voice mail domain can contain only one MSS.
Fax Sender Server
32. In a voice mail domain, there can be only one Fax Sender Server
(running the Fax Sender service).
33. A Fax Sender Server can provide services to only one voice mail
domain.
Capacity
34. A voice mail domain supports a maximum of five MAS units. If a
dedicated server is used to host the Tracing Server, or Offline Call
Answer store, or both, this dedicated server does not count
toward the maximum MAS units supported.
Mailbox Manager
35. A voice mail domain can use only one Mailbox Manager
database.
36. A Mailbox Manager database can provide services to multiple
voice mail domains.
Modular Messaging Web Client
37. A Web Server for a Modular Messaging Web Client can support
multiple Modular Messaging systems.
38. A voice mail domain can use multiple Web Servers.
39. A Web Server for a Modular Messaging Web Client is used
exclusively for Modular Messaging. This Web Server does not
support other voice messaging systems.
