Connection with a television, video cassette recorder and cable box or DirecTV receiver
Why should I connect the IR Blaster?
The IR Blaster is necessary for operating a cable box or DirecTV receiver with this unit’s remote control. Additionally, if the IR Blaster is not
correctly connected or set up, you cannot make scheduled recordings or download program listings.
Setting the IR Blaster
Place the IR Blaster in front of the signal sensor of the cable box or DirecTV receiver.
