Troubleshooting
If you have problems operating your navigation system, refer to this section. The most common
problems are listed below, along with likely causes and solutions. If a solution to your problem
cannot be found here, contact your dealer or the nearest authorized Pioneer service facility.
Problems with the navigation screen

The power doesnt turn on. The
navigation system doesnt oper-
ate.
Leads and connectorsare incor-
rectly connected.
Confirm once morethat all connections are
correct.
The fuse isblown. Rectify the reasonfor the fuse blowing, then
replace the fuse.Be very sureto install a cor-
rect fuse withthe same rating.
Noise and other factors are causing
the built-in microprocessor tooper-
ate incorrectly.
Park your vehicle in a safeplace, and turn off
the engine. Turn the ignition keyback to off
(ACC OFF). Thenstart the engine again,and
turn the powerto the navigation systemback
on.
You cannot position your vehicle
on the mapwithout a significant
positioning error.
The GPS antennais in an unsuitable
location.
The quality ofsignals from the GPSsatellites
is poor, causing reduced positioning accu-
racy. Check theGPS signal reception andthe
position of theGPS antenna if necessary.
Obstacles are blockingsignals from
the satellites.
The quality ofsignals from the GPSsatellites

continue driving untilreception improves.
