You can set the auto play fuucti(m which autonmtically starts
playback when the power of tiffs mill is turned uu. Using an
external timer with this feature enables timer playback.
1. Carry out steps 1 to 3 in "Checking the firmware
version (Firm. Version)" (P.73).
The display changes for the system utility item selection.
2. Rotate the MULTI JOG knob (press +/-, • or • on the
remote control) to select "Auto Play".

3. Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote
control) to display the current setting.

Rutatir'lg the MULTI JOG kuub (pressing +1 . • or • on the
remote cuutrul) switches the selling between "Auto Play On"
and '+Auto Play Oft".
hfitial setting is "Autu Play OfP'.
4. Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote
control) or COMPLETE.
The auto phL_function is set to on or off
If the auto play hmction is set tu on, the setting will be applied
when the power of this unit is turned on the next time+
• This unit plays data on the drive that had been last selected
when the power of this unit was last turued off.
• This unit plays in the playback mode (such as random play)
that had been last set when the power of this unit was last
turned off.
5. To carry out timer playback, connect the power cable
of this unit to an external timer, then set the timer.

The setting fur the timer recording takes precedence uver the setting
lk_rthe auto play fimctiuu. If the timer recording (R32) is set, this
unit starts recording when the power of this unit is turned on the
next time even when "Auto Play On" is selected.
