Finalization is the process that concludes recoMing, and allows a CD-R disc to be played on a standard CD player or a CD-RW disc to be
phlyed on a CD-RW-compatible phlyer.
FINALIZE _/Hu
1 Set a not-finalized CD-R or CD-RW disc in the disc
tray.
2. Press FINALIZE.
The confirmation message appears on the displa>.
To cancel finalization, press D.

3. Press _/nn to start finalization.

The level meter shows the finalization progress on the display.

When finalization is completed, the TO(-_indicator lights and
the unit enters the stop mode.

Further recording is not possible onto a finalized CD-R disc.
Make sure that all recordings have been completed befl_re
finalization.
Make sure a CD-R or CD-RW disc has no scratches, dust,
fingerprints or similar marks belore loading. Wipe a CD-R or
CD-RW disc if there is any dust on it.
Once the finalization process has started, no other operation
is possible until finalization is completed.
Never turn off the power or disconnect the power cord during
finalization.
