• Connect the unit and a Network Walkman securely.
• If you press Z when a Network Walkman is
connected, there is a beep sound, and the disc tray
does not open.
• Operations cannot be guaranteed when devices are
connected using a USB extension cable.
• The Network Walkman is not controllable with this unit.
• The models of the Network Walkman can be used
connected with this unit are as follows (as of April
2002): NW-E2/E3, NW-S4, NW-E7, MC-P10
• Do not disconnect the digital I/O cable while Check-
Out/Check-In is in progress. The data being
transferred may be damaged.
Transferring a track to a
Network Walkman
— Check-Out
You can transfer music files recorded on the
HDD to a Network Walkman.
1 Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select
“HDD.”
2 Press (MENU).
The menu display appears.
3 Rotate the R dial to select “Check
Out,” then press the R dial.
4 Rotate the R dial to select “Check
Out,” then press the R dial.
5 Rotate the R dial to select the track you
want to Check Out, then press the R dial.
The selected item is marked with “ .”
In the default setting, all tracks are selected in
the track name list.
To select specific tracks, press (F2) (ALL) to
cancel the selection first.
To cancel the item being selected, press the R
dial again.
6 Repeat step 5 to select all the tracks
you want to Check-Out.
7 Press (F1) (START).
Check-Out starts.
The normal display appears when Check-Out
is completed.
To cancel check-out
Press (F1) (CANCEL).
