When using an “MG Memory Stick,” set the erasure
prevention switch of the “MG Memory Stick” to OFF
(page 63).
Do not remove an “MG Memory Stick” while the LED
is on or is flashing. Data may be damaged.
The following tracks cannot be played back:
– A track with a playback count restriction
– A track whose allowable playback period has
expired
– A track with a playback period limit when the clock
on the unit has not been set
Check-Out cannot be carried out if an “MG Memory
Stick” is full or the number of Checked-Out tracks in
an “MG Memory Stick” has reached the limit.
Only the tracks that can be Checked-Out are
displayed in the list.
The following tracks cannot be Checked-Out:
– A track whose allowable number of Check-Out
count is 0 (zero)
– A track whose playback period has expired
A track recorded from a CD can be Checked-Out up
to 3 times.
The Check-Out count is displayed as follows:
(3 times or more), (twice or more), (Once),
no display (zero).
Tips
The unit closes the front panel automatically to
prevent the data in the “MG Memory Stick” being
damaged while accessing, such as during Check-In
or Check-Out.
You can Check-Out up to 400 tracks to an “MG
Memory Stick.”
A track can be Checked-Out several times to the
same “MG Memory Stick.”
This unit supports the following bit rates:
– Stereo: 176Kbps, 146Kbps, 132Kbps, 105Kbps,
94Kbps, 66Kbps
– Monaural: 47Kbps, 33Kbps
Returning a track to the HDD
from an “MG Memory Stick”
— Check-In
Returning checked out music data from an “MG
Memory Stick” to the HDD.
1 Press (SOURCE) repeatedly to select
“MEMORY STICK.”
2 Press (MENU).
The menu display appears.
3 Rotate the R dial to select “Check In,”
then press the R dial.
4 Rotate the R dial to select “Check In,”
then press the R dial.
5 Rotate the R dial to select the track
you want to Check-In, then press the R
dial.
The selected item is marked with “ .”
In the default setting, all tracks are selected in
the track name list.
To select specific tracks, press (F2) (ALL) to
cancel the selection first.
To cancel the item being selected, press the R
dial again.
6 Repeat step 5 to select all tracks you
want to Check-In.
7 Press (F1) (START).
Check-In starts.
The normal display appears when Check-In is
completed.
To cancel Check-In
Press (F1) (CANCEL).
Note
Only the tracks that can be Checked-In are displayed
in the list.
