Troubleshooting
The computer cannot start. If you reboot the computer with the IC recorder connected to the
computer, the computer may freeze or may not start properly.
Disconnect the IC recorder from the computer and reboot the
computer again.
The audio is weak or has
poor quality when listening
to the radio (for
ICD-UX512F only).
The battery is weak. Charge the battery or replace the old
rechargeable battery with a new one (page 10).
Move the unit away from the TV.
The picture of your TV
becomes unstable (for
ICD-UX512F only).
If you are listening to an FM program near the TV with an indoor
antenna, move the IC recorder away from the TV.
You cannot receive FM radio
stations, or a lot of static is
heard (for ICD-UX512F
only).
The headphones are not connected (the headphone cord is the FM
antenna).Connect the headphones to the
i (headphone) jack and
extend the headphone cord.
“DX/LOCAL” has been set to “LOCAL.” Set it to “DX”
(page 70).
You cannot preset an FM
radio station (for
ICD-UX512F only).
You have already preset 30 FM radio stations. Erase unwanted
preset stations (page 69).
“Scan Sensitivity” has been set to “Low(SCAN L).” Set it to
“High(SCAN H)” (page 71).
You cannot record an FM
radio broadcast in the LPCM
recording mode (for
ICD-UX512F only).
You cannot record in the PCM mode. When “REC Mode” is set to
“LPCM 44.1kHz/16bit,” a broadcast will be recorded in “MP3
192kbps” mode.
