Adjusting the filter
frequencies of speakers
(HPF/SUB-W LPF)
This function allows you to adjust the filter
frequency matched to the speakers you are
using.
• The filters (HPF/SUB-W LPF) that you can
use differ according to the Dolby Pro Logic II
mode setting.

Adjustment is possible only when
“SUB-WOOFER” is set to “ON”.
• The factory default setting is “THROUGH”.
■ Filter adjustment
● HPF (high-pass filter adjustment)
This filter cuts bass sound from the front and
rear speakers.
THROUGH ➜ 50Hz ➜ 80Hz ➜ 120Hz
Set the filter matched to the speaker when
small-diameter speakers are used.

Set this when using speakers that can
generate bass.
● SUB-W LPF (sub-woofer low-pass filter
adjustment)
This filter cuts treble sound from the sub-woofer.
THROUGH ➜ 50Hz ➜ 80Hz ➜ 120Hz
Set the filter frequency to match the sub-woofer.
THROUGH
Set this when a low-pass filter built-in
powered sub-woofer is used.
1. Press the [A] button to set to the adjust
mode.
2. Touch on the setting item display to
select “HPF” under “SOUND” and “SUB-W
LPF” under “SOUND”.

3. Either touch on the right of the
display, or turn the [ROTARY] knob to set
the frequency.
* Select one of THROUGH, 50Hz, 80Hz,
and 120Hz.
4. Press the [A] button to return to the original
mode.
Setting internal amplifier use
ON/OFF (AMP CANCEL)
Set internal amplifier use ON/OFF matched to
whether or not an external amplifier is used.
Set AMP CANCEL to “ON” (internal amplifier
use OFF) when an external amplifier is
connected and the internal amplifier is not used.
• The factory default setting is “OFF” (internal
amplifier used).
1. Press the [A] button to set to the adjust
mode.
2. Touch on the setting item display to
select “AMP CANCEL” under “SOUND”.

3. Either touch on the right of the
display, or turn the [ROTARY] knob to select
“ON” or “OFF”.
4. Press the [A] button to return to the original
mode.
Adjusting the output level of
the speakers (SP GAIN)
Use the test tone function built into this unit to
adjust so that the volume that is output from all
speakers is the same.
• This item can be set only when the Dolby Pro
Logic II mode is set to “MUSIC” or “MATRIX”.
• The factory default setting is “0dB”.
1. Press the [A] button to set to the adjust
mode.
2. Touch on the setting item display to
select “SP GAIN” under “SOUND”.
