Removing the Switch from a DIN Rail or a Rack

After mounting the switch in the rack, start the terminal-emulation software, and
provide power to the switch. See the “Powering On the Switch and Running
POST” section on page 3-13 for instructions.
Note For instructions on how to remove the switch from a rack, see the “Removing the
Switch from a DIN Rail or a Rack” section on page 3-59.
Removing the Switch from a DIN Rail or a Rack
To remove the switch from a DIN rail or a rack, follow these steps:
Step 1 Ensure that power is removed from the switch, and disconnect all cables and
connectors from the front panel of the switch.
Step 2 Push down on the top of the DIN rail clip release tab with your finger. As the clip
releases, lift the bottom of the switch, as shown in Figure 3-32 and Figure 3-33.
