Recording from a CD
changer
If you have a Sony CD changer in which 200,
300 or 400 CDs can be inserted and which is
equipped with the CONTROL A1II (or
CONTROL A1) jack, after connecting the
changer and an amplifier, follow the procedure
below. For details on CD changer operations,
refer to the instructions included with the CD
changer.
This function is not supported by all Sony CD
changers. The following CD changers are
recommended:
CDP-CX235, CDP-CX335, CDP-CX400,
CDP-CX450, CDP-CX333ES, CDP-M333ES,
CDP-CX555ES, CDP-M555ES, CDP-CX230,
CDP-CX300, CDP-CX350

Falling asleep to music
–– Sleep Timer
You can set the recorder so that it turns off
automatically after a specified duration.
1 Press MENU/NO.
“Edit Menu” appears in the display.
2 Turn ALBUM dial (or press ALBUM +/
on the remote repeatedly) until
Setup? flashes in the display, then
press ALBUM dial or YES.
“Setup Menu” appears in the display.
3 Turn ALBUM dial (or press ALBUM +/
on the remote repeatedly) until
Sleep Off (or Sleep XXmin) appears
in the display, then press ALBUM dial
or YES.
4 Turn ALBUM dial (or press ALBUM +/
on the remote repeatedly) to select a
desired time (Off, 30min, 60min,
90min, 120min), then press ALBUM
dial or YES.
“SLEEP” appears in the display.
5 Press MENU/NO.
Tip
You can check the remaining time.
Once you turn on Sleep Timer, the remaining time is
displayed when you select “Sleep” in Setup Menu.
