Security
When security features that restrict calls are in use (such as call barring, closed
user group, and fixed dialing) calls still may be possible to the official emergency
number programmed into your device.
Select Menu > Settings > Other settings > Security and from the following options.
To access Security, you must enter the preset lock code. Depending on your wireless
service provider, the preset lock code may be a four-digit number such as 1234 or
0000 or the last four digits of your phone number. If none of these work, contact
your wireless service provider for help.
Phone lock—Protect your phone from unauthorized outgoing calls or unauthorized
access to information stored in the phone. When the device is locked, you still
can call the official emergency number programmed into your phone.
Note: Depending on your wireless service provider, your phone may ask
for the security code (defaulted to 12345) instead of the lock code.
Allow. no. if lock on—Add numbers for outgoing calls, in addition to the emergency
number programmed into your phone, when the phone lock is on.
Change lock code—Change the lock code of your phone. Avoid using codes similar
to emergency numbers such as 911 to prevent accidental dialing of an
emergency number.
Note: If you enter the wrong lock code five times in succession, your
phone will not accept your current lock code for 5 minutes. This occurs
even if when you power down the phone between incorrect attempts.
Call restrictions —Block or allow numbers for incoming or outgoing calls.
Voice privacy (network service)—Protect the privacy of your current, phone
conversation from other callers placing phone calls on your same network.
Contact your service provider for more information.
Network services
To activate network services in your phone, select Menu > Settings > Other
settings > Network services and from the following options:
Call forwarding—Forward all incoming voice calls to a different phone number.
Network feature sett.—Activate network services in your phone using feature
codes received from your service provider.
My number selection (network service)—Select a number from which to receive calls.
