Character Tables
IBM emulation mode
IBM emulation mode provides compatibility with application
programs written
spe&ca&
forIB.M.printers. To
seIect.IBM
emulation mode, turn on DIP
switch:1-4.
In IBM
emu&ion
mode, you can select a standard character set (character
table 1) or an international character set (character table
a).
To

turn on DIP switches
l-6,
1-7, and
l-8.
To select
character table
2,
turn off any one of these switches. You can also
select character table 1 using the
EE
7 command or character table
2 using the
ESC
6 command.
Character table

is shown below. To form character table
1,
replace
the characters in the shaded column with the characters for code
00
to
$F
in the column on the left.
