NOTE
If you press the EXIT/CANCEL (PEAK CLEAR) key when the Home
Screen is open, the peak hold display resets.
System settings (SYSTEM SETUP)
Make system settings on this screen.
The
SYSTEM
SETUP
screen has 2 pages:
PREFERENCES
and
CLOCK
ADJUST
. Touch the tabs at the bottom of the screen
to open the corresponding page.
PREFERENCES page
Set system preferences on this page.
KBD Type
Set the connected keyboard type to either
US
(default
setting) for English keyboards or
JPN
for Japanese
keyboards.
Solo Mode
Set the solo mode.
Set to “
Single
” (default setting) to solo one track at a time
or “
Mix
” to allow more than one track to be soloed at the
same time.
Online Function
Set whether or not to use the online function. Set to
“Enable” to allow on line playback to be used from the
parallel connector, serial connector (RS-232C), or a
TASCAM RC-HS20PD remote controller (sold separately).
Set to “Disable” to not allow on line playback to be used
and always output the sound from all connectors. For
details, see “9 – Online functions” on page 59.
Ref. Level
Set the reference level for analog input and output to a
number of decibels below the maximum level (full scale
utilization).

CLOCK ADJUST page
Set the time of the built-in clock.
Touch the item that you want to set, and use the DATA
dial to adjust the item. (See “Setting the time of the
built-in clock” on page 21.) When you finish setting the
items, touch the SET button on the
CLOCK
ADJUST
page or
press the DATA dial to confirm the setting.
NOTE
While setting the time, the clock stops and the “:” does not blink.
When you touch the SET button, the clock starts again and the “:”
blinks.
Managing CF cards (CF MANAGE)
Use this screen to manage CF cards.
CURRENT MEDIA
This shows the currently selected card slot name and its
stauts.
CF SELECT
Touch this to open the
CF
SELECT
screen where you can
choose the CF card for recording and playback.
FORMAT
Format the CF card.
QUICK: This only formats file management information.
FULL: This formats the entire disc.
