Problem Cause/solution
The handset or base unit does

ot ring.
R The ringer volume for landline is turned off. Adjust the
ringer volume (page 35).
R The ringer volume for cellular line is turned off. Adjust the
ringer volume (page 34).
R When one handset is selected to ring for cellular calls,
other units do not ring. To change the selection, see
page 18.
R Silent mode is turned on. Turn it off (page 40).
I cannot make local calls with
t
he handset using a cellular line.
R You need to add your area code when making cellular
calls. Store your area code in order to automatically add it
to the beginning of the 7-digit phone number when
making cellular calls (page 20).
I cannot make or answer
c
ellular calls with the handset.
or
I cannot answer cellular calls
with the base unit.
R Depending on the cellular phone’s compatibility (page 4),
you may not be able to make or answer cellular calls even
if the cellular phone is connected to the base unit.
R Make sure that the CELL indicator lights up and the
cellular phone is connected to the base unit (page 19).
R If someone is talking on a cellular call, you cannot use the
cellular feature. There can be only one active Bluetooth
connection at a time.
R The cellular phone is being used separately from your
system.
I can make and answer cellular
c
alls but cannot hear a sound.
R The Bluetooth technology on your cellular phone may not
be functioning normally. Turn off and on your cellular
phone.
R Disconnect and reconnect the base unit AC adaptor and
try again.
I cannot switch cellular calls
f
rom the unit to the cellular
phone.
R Your cellular phone may not support this feature. Refer to
the operating instructions of your cellular phone.
I cannot make a call using the
l
andline.
R The dialing mode may be set incorrectly. Change the
setting (page 16).
I cannot make long distance
c
alls.
R Make sure that you have long distance service.
I pressed MZN
on the base unit
but the desired cellular call was
not transferred to the base unit.
R If the landline is in use when MZN is pressed on the base
unit, the base unit picks up the landline.
R If 2 cellular phones are in use when MZN is pressed on the
base unit, the base unit picks up the CELL 1 line.
The cellular line is not
d
isconnected even though I
ended the call on the handset
(or the base unit).
R This may occur depending on the phone app. Use the
cellular phone to disconnect the call.
