5-12-3 Do not reply to an LL position request

When the radio receives an LL position request, it will beep to alert you. The LCD screen will
display, the position request, and the caller’s MMSI. The radio will show that the reply facility is
OFF. Press <ESC or PTT to return to the previous screen. The LL position request is not stored
in the call log.
5-13 Receive an individual call
The radio makes a friendly two-tone alert when it detects an incoming DSC call.
Incoming individual calls are always a priority, and should be part of your protocol.

If the radio recognizes the user MMSI as one of your buddies, your buddy’s name is displayed.
Your radio can automatically or manually reply to the incoming caller depending on the
INDIV REPLY settings.
Press ENTER to send an acknowledgement to the incoming caller, or LHR-80 1.
automatically sends an acknowledgement to the caller. This stops the two-tone alert.
The radio automatically detects the channel of the incoming call.
The caller should respond, you can press PTT to initiate contact.2.

When you receive GPS position data from a buddy in response to your LL request, you are
recommended make note of it - especially if it is a good fishing position.
If enhanced LL position information is available, it is shown on the LCD until the display
changes.
