the program against the available tape length. If the internal circuit determines that the
available tape is not long enough to record the program in the SP mode, the Recording
mode is automatically changed to SLP mode. This will assure coverage of the desired
timer program before the end of the tape is reached. See "Just-In Time Recording" on
page 25 for the use of "AUTO" setting.
11 Finish setting the program
Press F.FWD/ button. Program 1 is now completed.
• To set another program, repeat steps [2] to [11].
• Press MENU button to return to original mode.
12 Set the timer
Press POWER button. The "" indicator on the VCR comes on.

TO CORRECT AN AUTOMATIC TIMER PROGRAM
1) Turn the power on and press VCR/TV button on the remote control so that the "VCR"
indicator appears on the display.
2) Repeat steps [1] to [3] on page 22.
3) Go to the digit you want to change using the F.FWD/ button or REW/ button.
4) Enter correct numbers using PLAY/ or STOP/ button.
4) Press MENU button to return to original mode.
5) Press POWER button to return to timer stand-by mode.
TO STOP AN AUTOMATIC TIMER PROGRAM WHICH HAS ALREADY
STARTED
Press STOP/EJECT button on the VCR.
NOTE: STOP button on the remote control will not function in the Automatic Timer Recording
mode.
TO CANCEL OR CHECK THE START/END TIME
1) Turn the power on and press VCR/TV button on the remote control so that the "VCR"
indicator appears on the display.
2) Press MENU button on the remote control.
3) Select a program number you want to check using PLAY/
or STOP/ button. The
details of selected program appears on the TV screen.
You may cancel the entire program by pressing REW/
button.
4) Press MENU button to return to original mode.
