5.2.4 Head Angular Adjustment
This section describes how to adjust the head angular. This adjustment
must be made under the following conditions:
1. The printhead has been removed. (When the printhead has
been replaced.)
2. The head angular adjustment lever has been moved. (Be sure
to release two screws securing the head fixing plate before
moving the lever. Failure to do so may damage the lever.)
3. CR Guide Shaft has been lubricated. (Notice you are required
to remove the printhead before lubricating the CR guide shaft in
this printer. Refer to Chapter 6 “Maintenance”.)
4. CR guide shaft has been removed.
NOTE:
Be sure to use Super Fine paper for Head Angular Adjustment.
1. Referring to Section 5.2.1, perform the preliminary operation.
2. In the main adjustment menu, select “Adjustment 2”. The following
screen appears.

3. Select “Head Angular Adjustment”. The following screen appears.

4. Select “Print the head angular adjustment pattern” to check the
current head angular condition.
5. The following screen appears and the printer starts running Head
Angular Adjustment Pattern.
