Manual recording
When you set “REC Level” to “Manual
,” you can adjust the recording level
manually, according to the sound source. If
necessary, you can also utilize the
“LIMITER” setting (page 91) in the menu
to reduce sound distortion.
1 Set “REC Level” to “Manual ” in
the menu (page 90).
2 Select a folder.
For details, see “Selecting a folder”
(page 20).
3 Turn the built-in microphones in the
direction of the source to be recorded.
4 Press and hold z REC/PAUSE.
The IC recorder enters the recording
standby mode. When the microphones
pick up sound, the level meter in the
display window moves.
5 Press . or > on the control button
to adjust the recording level, depending
on the sound source.
