Napster
Napster
is a legal music service that gives subscribers on-demand access to
over 700,000 music tracks. Napster
subscribers can listen to and collect full-
length, high-quality tracks online and offline. Subscribers can also collect as
many tracks as desired on the hard drives of up to 3 PC computers to listen
offline and use with the DSM-320. These tracks can be enjoyed for the duration
of your Napster
subscription.
Files downloaded with Napster
are in the Windows Media DRM format. This is a
type of copy protection. These files can be played on the DSM-320 if you use the
Windows
®
Media Connect software. This software can only be run on Windows
®
XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows
®
XP Media Center Edition. For details on
configuring Windows
®
Media Connect, please refer to page 26 of the manual.
Select a track that you
want to download.
You can look up
music by genres.
You can search by artist, track
names, album names, and
even search other member’s
collections.
Click the download button to
download the file to your
computer.
Select Napster from the
Online Media menu. A
screen will appear with
detailed information on how
Napster works with your
media player.
