Make sure you use a double-shielded, twisted-pair interface cable
no longer than six feet in length.
If you are using a serial interface, set the parity, baud rate, number
of data bits, and number of stop bits to match the computer.
The Imaging Cartridge may be empty. Replace the cartridge as
described on page 6-23.
Printout problems
The selected font is not supported by your printer. Be sure you
have installed the correct font. See Appendix D for more
information.
Make sure that both ends of the interface cable are plugged in
securely.
Make sure you use a double-shielded, twisted-pair interface cable
no longer than six feet in length.
If you are using a serial interface, set the parity, baud rate, number
of data bits, and number of stop bits to match the computer.
The
Image Optimum
setting may be set to
AUTO
or
ON
. If it is,
fonts other than you expect may be printed to increase the printing
speed. Turn the
Image Optimum
setting off in the printer driver or
SelecType.
The emulation setting for that port may not be correct. Specify the
emulation mode with the SelecType.
If the printer still does not print correctly, contact your dealer or
a qualified service person.
The font selected with software commands won't print.
Some or all of the printout is garbled or printed as asterisks.
