Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Operational problems
Abnormal noise may come from the printer momentarily
immediately after a new imaging cartridge is loaded. This does
not indicate malfunction.
Remove the imaging cartridge from the printer, gently rock it back
and forth two or three times, and reload it into the printer.
Turn off the printer and check the power cable connections
between the printer and the electrical outlet; then turn the printer
back on.
If the electrical outlet is controlled by an outside source such
as a wall switch, make sure the switch is turned on or plug another
electrical device into the outlet to check whether the outlet is
operating properly.
