Note:
When STEP FWD is selected, the unit
automatically goes into the STANDBY
OFF (HALF LOADING) mode when the
total time for which the unit is left standing
in the still status reaches 30 minutes (or 1
minute for a DV/DVCAM tape).

This selects the drum operation in the
STANDBY OFF (HALF LOADING)
mode.

The drum stops rotating.

DV or DVCAM tape is being used.
It is for selecting the time to elapse before
the tape protection mode is established
when the VTR has been left standing in
the STOP or search STILL (JOG, SLOW
or SHTL) mode.

Notes:
• STEP FWD and HALF LOADING are
provided in the tape protection mode.
Either of these can be set for STOP and
SEARCH STILL.
• The cumulative standby time at the
same tape position increases when
transmitting programs or otherwise
using identical materials repeatedly. In
order to protect the tape, it is
recommended that the shortest possible
setting for the standby time in the same
tape location is used.
