Supervisor Functions
To go to the Supervisor Functions screen, press Home, and select More > Supervisor
functions:
The Supervisor Functions screen offers these options:
Setup wizard. Enter or change the settings for the Digital Entertainer Express.
Advanced settings. See “Advanced Settings” on page 5-1.
Full scan for media files. Rebuild the media library. This replaces current media files and
adds newfound media files. A full scan takes significant time, depending on the number of
folders you have designated for sharing.
Scan for USB attached media. Check for media stored on devices such as an iPod or MP3
player that are connected to the Digital Entertainer Express.
Network test. Measure the data transfer rate between devices on your network and your
Digital Entertainer Express.
Update. Check for firmware updates for the Digital Entertainer Express on the NETGEAR
website, or update the firmware from a file on a USB storage device. See “Updating the
Firmware” on page 6-1 for more information.

Warning: Be sure that power to your Digital Entertainer Express unit is not
interrupted during the firmware update process. Failure to observe this
precaution can permanently damage the unit.
