▪ The setting items of the memory switch 8 are as follows:
- Either the character font A or B or C is selected.
- The beep is activated for the audible paper empty warning signal.
- The beep is activated for the audible low battery warning signal.

- When set to Multi-byte sentinel characters mode, the header and the
footer, which have been used in normal mode, are not used any more
and the specified Start characters and End characters are added to the
beginning parts and the end parts of each track data to be transmitted.
- When set to Multi-byte sentinel characters mode but Start characters and
End characters are not set by fn2 and fn3 of BS M S command
respectively, the default Start and End characters are applied to MSR
data to be transmitted to host.
- When set to Multi-byte sentinel characters mode, <CR/LF> characters
after End characters of each track data are automatically applied to the
card data to be transmitted to host.
