Downloading images from digital
cameras
Images stored in digital cameras that are compliant with USB Mass Storage Class
(>p.142) or devices compliant with PTP (>p.142) can be transferred to the
gigabeat. Transferred images (Exif (>p.142) data) can then also be viewed with
the gigabeat.
Note
Operation cannot be guaranteed for all devices.
Preparation
-Connect AC adapters to the digital camera and to the USB CRADLE, then turn on
the power of the digital camera.
-Depending on the model of digital camera, if necessary, switch it to the mode that
connects to a PC or other device.
-Set the USB/LINE OUT switch of the USB CRADLE to “USB”.
a Connect the digital camera to the USB 1.1 connector (port A) of
the USB CRADLE.
b Turn on the gigabeat.
c Connect the gigabeat to the USB CRADLE.
A screen that prompts whether or not to start the backup will be displayed.
