No music will play.
Make sure your music is not DRM protected. SqueezeCenter and Squeezebox
can not play DRM protected music. If your music was purchased from the
iTunes Store, it may contain DRM. Only “iTunes Plus” tracks do not contain
DRM. Other online music stores may apply DRM to downloaded tracks. If
you’re not sure, contact the music store for clarifi cation.
Make sure you have any fi rewalls on your system correctly confi gured to allow
communication between your server and player. Please see Appendix A:
Confi guring Your Firewall.
Check the fi le format and be sure it’s one of the supported types. See
Appendix B: Supported File Formats for more information.
The FORWARD and REWIND buttons do not work
with some songs in my music library.
Seeking through a song (holding fwd or rew) only works with certain
formats:
MP3, Ogg, FLAC, WAV and AIFF fi les stored in your SqueezeCenter •
music library
MP3 and WMA fi les from online services (if the service supports •
scanning through songs)
SqueezeCenter can’t fi nd all of my music.
Make sure that all of your digital music fi les are in one place on your
computer. You can store all of your fi les in a single folder, or create subfolders
to help organize your music. The software you use to “rip” your CDs to digital
fi les, such as iTunes or Windows Media Player, may already do this.
SqueezeCenter, the software that runs on your computer and delivers
your personal digital music collection to your Squeezebox Boom, will scan
one folder (and all sub-folders) for your music. If you have music stored in
multiple folders, or on different computers, you will have to create shortcuts
in the primary music folder so SqueezeCenter can fi nd the other music.
To manually rescan your music collection using SqueezeCenter, click
Settings, then the Basic Settings tab and then click Rescan. To set up
