Troubleshooting
In the case of a trouble such as the impossibility of switching this unit ON, spontaneous
power shutdown or erroneous display, press the Reset button (page 8).

Symptom Remedy
Power cannot be switched ON or pressing a
button does not start an operation.
The HOLD function is ON.
Cancel the HOLD function with the HOLD switch on this unit (page 12).
The battery is nearly exhausted.
Connect the provided AC adapter to this unit to recharge the battery. (page
13)
Press and hold the power button until this unit is switched on.
This unit is being connected to the PC.
This unit is inoperable when it is connected to the PC in the storage mode.
The remaining battery power drops soon
after recharging.
The rechargeable battery is degraded.
Replace it with a brand-new rechargeable battery.
For the battery replacement, contact your nearest Kenwood service agent.
Audio is not heard. Headphones are connected improperly.
Connect headphones correctly to this unit.
Battery cannot be recharged. USB cable is connected improperly.
Check the connections on both this unit and PC sides.
The ambient temperature is outside the operating temperature range.
The battery should be recharged within the operating temperature range.

Purchase and use another USB cable.

Recording on the SD card, file movement
on/from it or file deletion from it is
impossible.
The LOCK switch on the SD card is set to the "LOCK" position.

long time if the SD card contains a large number of files.
This unit does not hold the conditions
before the power is switched off.
The resume function does not work.
An SD card is inserted.
When an SD card is inserted, this unit checks the files in it so the resume
function does not work.
USB connection has been used.
When USB connection is disconnected, this unit updates the internal database
so the resume function does not work.
