Played tracks can be skipped on a per-item basis as shown below.
Artist skip When a file is selected with the artist name, Artist skip can be used to switch the artists.
Album skip When a file is selected with the album title, Album skip can be used to switch the albums.
Genre skip When a file is selected with the genre, Genre skip can be used to switch the genre.
Year skip When a file is selected with the release year, Year skip can be used to switch the year.
The item to be skipped is determined according to the item used to select the track being
played. (page 19)
1 Open the pop-up menu during playback.

2 Select "Artist skip+" or "Artist skip-".

The displayed items vary to "Artist skip", "Album
skip", "Genre skip" or "Year skip" depending on the
item used to select the track being played.
To skip an item
• The item skip operation described above is not available if the music being played was
selected from "File", "Favorite", "Folder" or "Recorded" in the home screen.
3 Set the end point (point B).

When the next file is selected before setting the end point
(point B), the A-B repeat mode is canceled.
4 To cancel A-B Repeat.

• The A-B repeat mode is canceled when another file is selected or the fast forward/fast reverse
operation is performed.
• The A-B repeat mode cannot be entered unless the current repeat mode is "Off".
