Power Supply Module
3-6
Cisco ICS 7750 System Description
78-10360-02
Key Features
The power supply module has the following key features:
• Automatic remote enable/disable signal: Ensures that the power supply
remains off until fully seated and turns the power supply off during removal.
• Operates as a single or redundant module.
• Hot-swappable, accessible from the front of the chassis.
• Current sharing when two power supplies reside in a chassis (the power
supplies do not load share).
• Four DC voltage outputs: +3.3V, +5V, +12V, and –12V.
• AC input range of operation: 100 to 240 VAC.
• IEC 320-C14 AC input receptacle.
• Overvoltage protection: Power supply shuts down if the power output exceeds
the nominal output by 120 percent.
• Automatic thermal shutdown: If the ambient temperature is too high, the
power supply shuts down automatically; when the ambient temperature
returns to a safe operating range, the power supply restarts automatically.
• Automatic redundancy when two power supplies are installed.
