To make PARENTAL setting
1 Press SETUP.
• This displays the DVD SET UP screen.
2 Use " and ' to select “PARENTAL”.
Press |.
• If there is no password registered yet, the password input field appears
as

instead of .
3 Use the number buttons to input the
password.
4 Use \ and | to select the parental level
and then press ENTER.
• This returns to the startup screen.
Repeat steps 1 through 4 above whenever you want to change the parental
level.
• The first time you input a new password, the DVD player will prompt you to input it
a second time for confirmation. The password you input is registered
automatically, and you will have to input it each time you change the parental
level in the future.
• You must input the correct password to make any changes in the parental level.
Be sure to keep a separate record of your password somewhere for later
reference.
• Some DVDs allow the viewer to temporarily change the parental level setting to
view the original scenes. When this prompt appears, input the password to view
the original scenes.
Helpful Hints
• The illustration on page 44 shows the buttons used in this procedure.
If you forget your password, press ËSTOP four times instead of inputting
numbers in step 3 of the procedure. This clears the currently set password.
