Cleaning discs
A dirty disc may not play correctly.
To clean a disc:
• With a soft cloth, wipe the disc in a straight line from the center to the
edge.
Cleaning your shelf system
To clean your shelf system, follow these guidelines:
• Use a soft, clean dry cloth to clean the exterior of your shelf system.
• Do not let liquid drip into the inside of your shelf system.
• For stubborn stains, use a soft cloth dampened with a weak solution of
mild detergent and water. Dry your shelf system immediately afterwards
with a clean cloth. Do not use abrasive clothes, thinners, alcohol, or other
chemical solvents, because they may damage the finish or remove the
panel lettering.
Cleaning the pickup lens
To clean the pickup lens:
1 Open the CD door.
2 Use a camera lens brush/blower to blow dirt off the lens, then brush
the lens to remove dirt and dust.
Caution
Do not use any solvent, such as record spray, thinner, or benzene,
to clean a disc.
