Working with Video Analytic Behaviors
DESCRIPTION AND USES OF BEHAVIORS
The Endura NET5301T-I intelligent video encoder supports several video analytic behaviors that can analyze and interpret the activity in the field
of view of a camera as objects and motion are detected. Once an optional behavior is installed on the intelligent encoder, it can be associated
with a camera in the Endura system. Behaviors can detect the addition or removal of an object, track the movement of a person or vehicle
through the field of view, detect unauthorized directional movement, and count the number of objects in the field of view. Several behaviors can
be installed on an intelligent video encoder and several versions of a behavior can be set up for a camera. Once available, an operator can select
a different version of a behavior to make use of the features of the intelligent video encoder and can easily monitor video for the different
activities. For additional information about intelligent video encoders and the optional behaviors, refer to the encoder installation or
configuration manuals.
RUN A BEHAVIOR
Behaviors are optional, and each behavior is installed separately. Verify that the camera you are working with is connected to an intelligent video
encoder on which the expected behavior is installed.
To run a behavior, complete the following steps:
1. Right-click a video pane that is displaying video for a camera that is attached to an intelligent video encoder, and then select Analytics from
the shortcut menu.
2. From the submenu select the behavior that you want to run. A check mark beside a behavior indicates the active behavior. Only one
behavior can run at a time.

STOP A BEHAVIOR
1. Right-click a video pane that is running a behavior, and then select Analytics from the shortcut menu.
2. Stop the running behavior with any of the following methods:
• Select Stop Analytics from the submenu.
• Locate the behavior with the check mark beside it in the submenu, and select it. The check mark is removed from the behavior, and it
stops running.
• Select a different behavior if several behaviors are available. The newly selected behavior starts to run and the previous behavior stops.
