Messages — Index Function (continued)
2 While pressing INDEX/BOOKMARK,
press ERASE for more than 1 second.
“ERASE INDEX?” will flash for 10 seconds.
3 Press ERASE while the display is flashing.
The two messages are combined into one and the messages will be
renumbered as in the illustration above.
To cancel erasing
Press xSTOP before step 3.
Notes
•After combining messages by erasing an index, the latter message’s alarm
setting, priority mark(s) and bookmark will be deleted.
•If a bookmark has been added to the message, the above steps first delete the
bookmark (page 29). Repeat the steps to erase the index.
•Due to the recording system of an IC recorder, you may not be able to add or
delete an index in some cases (pages 87 and 88).
•Depending on the file format of the message, you may not be able to add or
delete an index (pages 87 and 88).
