Changing/cancelling the Parental
Control
1 Press SETUP during stop playback.
The INITIAL SETUP menu appears on the TV
screen.
2 Select “PARENTAL” using >/., then press / or
ENTER.
The display for confirming the password appears.
3 Enter the four-digit number you set using number
buttons, then press ENTER.
The display for setting the level appears.
4 Select the level using ?/>/.//, then press
ENTER.
As the number of the level gets smaller, the
restriction gets more severe.
When playing a disc without the Parental Control
function, select “OFF” using ?/>/.//, then
press ENTER.
5 Confirm the password, then press ENTER.
If you want to change your password entered in
Step 3, enter the new password using the number
buttons, then press ENTER.
The display for confirming the password appears.
6 Press SETUP.
The Parental Control level is locked.
If you forget your password
Enter “84173” as the password in Step 3.
Notes
• When you play DVD
VIDEOs without the
Parental Control
function, playback
cannot be limited on
this player.
• Depending on the DVD
VIDEO, you may be
asked to change the
Parental Control level
while playing the disc.
In this case, enter the
password, then change
the level.
When you stop playing
the DVD VIDEO, the
level returns to the
original level.
