Setting the Bit Rate for the Songs to Record
(Rec Mode)
You can select the bit rate for the songs to record.

Note
The recording function will be displayed when connected to the optional accessories for
recording with the player.
Follow steps
to
in “Recording” (
page 68), and then the
player enters the record standby mode.
Press and hold the DISPLAY/HOME button until the HOME screen
appears.
Rotate the shuttle switch to select (Settings) and press the
button to conrm.
Rotate the shuttle switch to select “Rec Mode>” and press the
button to conrm.
Rotate the shuttle switch to select the desired bit rate and press the
button to conrm.
To return to the previous menu
Press the DISPLAY/HOME button.

Setting item Description
ATRAC 256kbps Records with ATRAC 256 kbps.
ATRAC 128kbps Records with ATRAC 128 kbps. (Default setting)
ATRAC 64kbps Records with ATRAC 64 kbps.
PCM Records with Linear-PCM 1,411 kbps.
