CONNECTING TO A CAMCORDER,
G
AME CONSOLE, OR DIGITAL CAMERA
You can connect a camcorder for video playback, or a
digital camera to view pictures. For this connection, if you
have not connected the
OUTPUT jacks to a TV, use the
supplied audio/video cable for this connection.
Connecting a Game Console
If you are connecting a game system console, you may
need to connect a DC to AC inverter (not supplied, available
from RadioShack). Ô
CONNECTING AC POWER FOR
INDOOR USE
You can power the DVD player using the supplied 9V, 1.2 A
AC adapter.
1. To use the DVD player indoors, connect the supplied
AC adapter’s barrel plug into the
DC IN jack.
2. Lift up the AC plug module’s two blades and insert the
AC plug to a standard AC outlet.
1. Connect the supplied A/V cable’s
two-plug end to the
INPUT VIDEO / AUDIO jacks on the
back of the DVD player. When
you plug into
VIDEO (INPUT), the
DVD player will be disabled.
2. Connect the supplied A/V
cable’s three-plug end to an A/V
cable (not supplied). Connect
the yellow (VIDEO) cable to
VIDEO OUT on your
Camcorder, digital
camera, or game
console. Connect the red
connector (AUDIO
RIGHT) and white connector
(AUDIO LEFT) to the device’s
AUDIO OUT.
Ô NOTE Ô
Some game systems have a
proprietary output cable. Follow
your game system’s hookup
instructions to send audio/video to
the DVD player.
CAUTION
You must use a Class 2 or ITE
power source that supplies
9–12V DC and delivers at least
1.2 Amps. Its center tip must be
set to positive and its plug must fi
t
the DVD player's DC IN 9–12V
jack. The supplied adapter meets
these specifications. Using an
adapter that does not meet these
specifications could damage the
DVD player or the adapter.
