5 Press a or b to adjust the output level
of the front speakers.
Each press of a or b increases or decreases
the level of the front speakers. ±0 24 is dis-
played as the level is increased or decreased.
Setting the high pass filter for
rear speakers
1 Press AUDIO and hold until second
audio menu appears in the display, then
press AUDIO to select HP R1.
After second audio menu is displayed, press
AUDIO until HP R1 appears in the display.
2 Press c or d to select slope.
Each press of c or d selects slopes in the fol-
lowing order:
126Pass (0) (dB/oct.)
# If you set the slope to 0 dB/oct. (Pass), the
audio signal bypasses the filter, so the filter does
not have an effect.
3 Press AUDIO to select HP R2.
Press AUDIO until HP R2 appears in the dis-
play.
4 Press c or d to select cut-off frequency.
Each press of c or d selects cut-off frequen-
cies in the following order:
506380100125160200 (Hz)
Only frequencies higher than those in the se-
lected range are output from the rear speak-
ers.
5 Press a or b to adjust the output level
of the rear speakers.
Each press of a or b increases or decreases
the level of the rear speakers. ±0 24 is dis-
played as the level is increased or
decreased.
Using the auto-equalizer
The auto-equalizer is the equalizer curve cre-
ated by auto TA and EQ (refer to Auto TA and
EQ (auto-time alignment and auto-equalizing)
on page 51).
You can turn the auto-equalizer on or off.
1 Press AUDIO and hold until second
audio menu appears in the display, then
press AUDIO to select AUTO EQ.
After second audio menu is displayed, press
AUDIO until AUTO EQ appears in the display.
2 Press a to turn the auto-equalizer on.
Auto EQ ON appears in the display.
# To turn auto-equalizer off, press b.
# Please set Auto EQ appears. This indicates
that you cannot turn the auto-equalizer on if auto
TA and EQ has not been carried out.
Recalling equalizer curves
The equalizer lets you adjust the equalization
to match car interior acoustic characteristics
as desired.
There are seven stored equalizer curves which
you can easily recall at any time. Here is a list
of the equalizer curves:

POWERFUL Powerful
NATURAL Natural
VOCAL Vocal
FLAT Flat
CUSTOM1 Custom 1
CUSTOM2 Custom 2
! CUSTOM1 and CUSTOM2 are adjusted
equalizer curves that you create. Adjust-
ments can be made with a 13-band graphic
equalizer.
