Using The On-Screen Display Functions
Information about a disc and its operational status can be monitored
on your TV screen. If you want to take advantage of this feature for
audio CDs, please remember to connect the DPC-6.1 to your TV set
(see pages 10 and 11) and to switch it on.
Please note that the information provided on screen is only for refer-
ence purposes and cannot be changed.
More Specific Information: Remaining Time and Setting Status
You can also view the elapsed time, remaining time, and
setting status of the disc on the TV screen. Though the
operation is almost exactly the same as for requesting
general information, please note that you need to start
playback before being able to access this information.
Press the DISPLAY button during playback.
Each time you press the DISPLAY button,
the on-screen display changes as follows.

Bit Rate (Mbit/sec): Amount of picture, sound and
subtitle data on the DVD video transferred per
second. The larger the value, the more data need to
be processed. Please note that the amount of data
provides no information about the picture quality.

Requesting Basic Information
This operation allows you to view the current title num-
ber, track number, and total playing time of the disc on
the TV screen.
Stop playback and press the DISPLAY
button.

Tip:
When you play a disc that contains text data, the unit displays
text information, such as the disc title and song titles. If the disc
does not contain any text, the unit displays “No Text”.
