6. GROUP CALL - When the radio receives a group
call, it unmutes on the assigned working channel and
comes on. Line one shows GR followed by the
logical ID number (if received) of the unit sending the
message, or the associated name if the ID number
is found in the individual call list.
7. INDIVIDUAL CALL - When the radio receives an
individual call (a call directed only to the user’s radio),
it unmutes on the assigned working channel and
turns on and . Line one shows ID fol-
lowed by the logical ID number of the unit sending
the message, or the associated name if the ID num-
ber is found in the individual call list.
Responding to the call prior to the programmed
call-back time-out will automatically direct the call to
the originating unit. If the caller’s ID is not received,
UNKNOWN will display and there will be no call-back
hangtime.
SENDING A CALL
1. Turn on the radio and set the POWER ON-OFF/VOL-
UME knob to the desired volume level. Select the
desired system and group.
2. Press and hold the PTT button. The radio will display
, the system and group names and perform
the necessary signalling required to obtain a com-
munication channel.
