1. IntroductionandFeatures

ThankyouforselectingtheExtechDCP42SwitchingModePowerSupply.Thisnewlyre‐designed

laboratorygradepowersupplydiffersfromaconventionalpowersupplyinthatitcancalculate

andchangethevoltageandcurrentlimitpointsaccordingtotheavailablemaximumpower.

Thereforethemaximumlimitsofthevoltageandcurrentarechangeableaccordingtotherated

power.Aconventionalpowersupplyhasonlyasetmaximumvoltageandcurrentsuchthatallof

theoperatingV&Amustfallwithintheselimits.TheDCP42offerscostsavingandspacesaving

advantagesasoneconstant‐powerpowersupply

candotheworkofseveralconventionalpower

supplies.



TheDCP42ishighlyefficient,incorporatesupgradedSMPScircuitrywithsmallformfactor,benefits

fromanautomaticcross‐overforCCandCV,hasthree(3)Voltage/Currentpresets,andcanbe

remotecontrolled.TheDCP42isperfectforsolvingavarietyofloadingconditionsandapplications.
