Message Meaning Remedy
DATA ACCESS Accessing the built-in flash
memory.
This message appears while the built-in flash
memory is being accessed. Please wait for
access to complete.
FILE ERROR The file cannot be read.
The file is not normal.
The player cannot play
certain files because of
incompatible formats.
Transferring has been
interrupted forcefully.
Transfer the normal audio file back to the
computer and then format the player.
If the song which cannot be played is
unnecessary, you can delete it from the
built-in flash memory.
HOLD The player cannot be operated
because the HOLD switch is
set to the HOLD position.
To operate the player, rotate the HOLD
switch to the opposite position (
page 9).
LOW BATTERY The battery is low.
You must charge the battery (
page 12).
MEMORY FULL There is not enough free
space in the built-in flash
memory.
You are trying to record the
FM radio (NWD-B103F/
B105F only) or sound while
the player has a combined
total of 999 files and folders.
You have changed the files
in the [Record] folder.
Connect the player to the computer and
delete any unnecessary songs to increase
free space on the player.
You cannot record more than 999.
Connect the player to the computer and
delete any unnecessary songs or files.
Copy the files of the [Record] folder to
your computer, and then delete the
[Record] folder of the player. Then transfer
those files which you have copied to a
folder other than the [Record] folder on
your computer to play them on the player
as audio content.

of the player is full.
You are trying to record the

At least 20 MB of some free space is
necessary to function normally.
You can check the free space by clicking
[My Computer], right-clicking
[WALKMAN] or [Removable Disk], and
then opening the [Properties] window by
left-click.
