Saving and deleting images
Connecting a computer
Blank areas appear
at the top and
bottom.
Is the image extremely high
or wide?
c If an image is extremely high or wide,
blank areas may appear because of the
ratio between the height and width.

Cannot save an
image.
Is the memory card write-
protected?
c Cancel write-protection and try saving
again.
Is the write-protect switch of
the memory card in the
[LOCK] position?
c Slide the write-protect switch to the
enable position.
Is the memory card full? c Replace the memory card with one with
sufficient free space. Or, delete any
unnecessary images. (.page 28)
Is the internal memory full? c Delete any unnecessary images.

Did you save images from a
computer to the internal
memory without making a
folder in the internal
memory?
c If you do not make a folder, you can only
save up to 512 images. In addition, the
number of images may reduce depending
on the file name length or character type.
When you save images to the internal
memory on a computer, be sure to make a
folder in the internal memory and save
images in this folder.
Cannot delete an
image.
Is the memory card write-
protected?
c Use the device you are using to cancel
write-protection and try deleting again.
Is the write-protect switch of
the memory card in the
[LOCK] position?
c Slide the write-protect switch to the
enable position.
Are you using “Memory
Stick-ROM”?
c It is not possible to delete an image from
or format “Memory Stick-ROM”.
An image was
deleted
accidentally.
c An image cannot be recovered once it is
deleted.
