Note
❒ The actual printable numbers vary
depending on the image volume
and density, number of pages to be
printed at a time, paper type and
paper size used, and environmen-
tal conditions such as temperature
and humidity. The quality of toner
lowers in time. Because of this, the
toner cartridge may require re-
placement earlier than expected.
We recommend that you prepare a
new toner cartridge beforehand.
Replace the toner cartridge of the in-
dicated color when the following
message appears on the panel dis-
play.

❒ The color is displayed for XXX.
❒ If cyan, magenta or yellow toner
runs out, you can print in black
and white using the black toner.
Change the color mode setting to
"Black and White" with the printer
driver.
❒ If black toner runs out, printing is
not possible until the black toner
cartridge is replaced.

Open the upper left cover of the
printer.
• Do not incinerate spilled toner
or used toner. Toner dust is
flammable and might ignite
when exposed to an open
flame. Disposal should take
place at an authorized dealer
or an appropriate collection
site. If you dispose of the used
toner cartridges yourself, dis-
pose of them according to lo-
cal regulations.
• Keep toner (used or unused) and
the toner cartridge out of reach
of children.
