Recording
There are various settings you can change to record in
other ways.
[A] SYNCHRO recording:
To start recording when this unit receives input from
other equipment. Recording pauses when input
stops.
[B] Recording sensitivity:
Lower the level if the level meter frequently reaches
the maximum level when recording from other
equipment.
Raise the level if the level meter barely moves.
[C] Track marking:
Choose how to add track marks when recording
through a microphone or other equipment.
Changing settings
1. Press [MENU] while in the recording standby
mode.
(You can also change these settings while stopped.
You cannot change them while recording.)
2. Press [:] or [9] to select REC MODE?.
3. Press [ENTER/MEMORY].
4. Press [:] or [9] to select the mode.
[A] Turning SYNCHRO on
(1) Select LINE SYNCHRO?.
(2) Press [ENTER/MEMORY].
(3) Press [:] or [9] to select LINE
SYNCHRO ON?.
[B] Setting recording sensitivity
(1) Select LINE REC SENS?.
(2) Press [ENTER/MEMORY].
(3) Press [:] or [9] to select the sensitivity.
Each time you press the button:
REC SENS H?: When recording from

stereo components
[C] Selecting a marking mode
(1) When recording from other equipment
Select LINE MARK MODE?.
When recording through a microphone
Select MIC MARK MODE?.
(2) Press [ENTER/MEMORY].
(3) Press [:] or [9] to select the mode.
Each time you press the button:

AUTO: Track marks added when tracks change.

5. Press [ENTER/MEMORY].
To stop partway
Press [MENU] before step 5.
Note:
While SYNCHRO recording
[REC PAUSE] does not respond to touch.
The beginning of the track may not be recorded in
some cases. Select OFF if this occurs.
MANUAL track marking
Press [ENTER/MEMORY] at the place you want to mark.
You can still do this even if you didnt select MANUAL.
You cannot add the next track mark until 2 seconds
have passed since adding the last one.
